There are many ways to build a site map for your website. Below is a short video I put together to show you just how simple this is to do.
There are many reasons to have a sitemap on your website. One of the main reasons is from an SEO (search engine optimization) standpoint.
When the search engine spiders come and visit your website you want them to be able to find all your pages you want indexed. The easiest way to accomplish this is through the use of a sitemap.
There are a few types of sitemaps. Most commonly, is the HTML version and the XML version. Without getting to carried away with definitions lets look at them this way.
The HTML version is usually for the humans that visit your site and the XML version is for the search engine spiders or robots.
Its now to the point that Google and other search engines want to see the use of sitemaps.
If you have not done so all ready you really need to create your own sitemap for all your websites.
You should also be using Google Webmasters tools. This will tell you if Google has any problems with your website. It also gives you ways to look at links that are pointing to your site, as well as much more important information you should know about.
