Goggle’s new chrome uses a form of a search called the “Omnibox”.
The interesting thing that makes it different is that when you enter a search in the box Chrome will suggest a few websites that match your description. The suggestions that are made are from the first few organic search results.

So how does this effect SEO practices? Simple. If people click on the first or second site that appears in their box. There maybe no worth to your site if you don’t rank number one.

Here’s another example of the rich or top ranking sites getting more traffic. This would be very tough to compete with!

I can see this helping the big guys. Here’s a thought, say you enter “computers” who do you think would show up? Dell comes to mind!

Thoughts…..

I haven't tried it yet either. I have a client who uses it. She likes it. I'll check it out one of these days.

lol It just goes to show you that most people still have no clue. There will always be SEO in one form or another as long as search engines atempt to rank sites based on how important they thing they are. Backlinks etc.

Yeah I agree I don't think It has the bang that it was billed to be when it first started. I have used it and still do from time to time, but I don't like it that much.

Just my two cents  ;D
